What is a Log Book Service?

A full check over your vehicle including oil and filter change. A full check includes all fluids and filters, tyres, cooling system, battery test, wipers and lights. will also give your car a complimentary wash so you drive away feeling like you have a new car.

Why do I need a log book service?

Log Book Servicing is a proactive approach to car maintenance where regular inspections and small fixes keep your vehicle running smoothly and efficiently to prevent small problems from turning into major damage and issues which could otherwise be very costly to repair.

What happens if I miss a Service?

Your vehicle may not run at its optimum level and you may have maintenance issues down the track. We recommend staying on top of your vehicle maintenance so you can stay safe on the road.

Do you have Loan cars and how much do they cost?

don't provide loan cars however there are a number of companies in town who do and we are happy to drive you to them once you have a car hire booking.

Will I lose my New Car Warranty if I don't go back to the dealer?

Any qualified mechanical repairer can carry out logbook servicing as per manufacturer specifications, without compromising your New Car or Manufacturer’s Warranty. Having your vehicle serviced by an independent workshop like Exmouth Service Centre and Towing not only saves you money, but the whole process is more convenient without affecting your new car warranty at all. I have lost my Log Book, do I need it?

You don't need a log book for us to complete the service, we can give you a record of the log book service we carry out. If you do find it later we can always stamp it then.

How long will the service take?

We ask that you drop you vehicle off at 8am on the morning of your booking and it should be ready for pickup by mid afternoon. We will send a txt to you once it is complete.

How much will my service cost?

All log book services differ depending on vehicle make and model, amount of km's and age of vehicle. Generally services are 2 hours labour and include oil and filters. The average is between $400-$500.

How can I pay for my Service?

Exmouth Service Centre and Towing accept cash and credit card/EFT payments or direct debit if prearranged.

When are you Open?

We are open from 8am to 5pm Monday to Saturday. *Note - We only do Mechanical work Monday to Friday.

Are you open on weekends?

are open on Saturdays for Mechanical breakdowns and over the counter shop sales only.

What is the earliest time I can bring my car in?

Our shop opens at 8am. We do understand that sometime you need to drop off earlier so just give us a call to arrange this.

Can I drop my car off after hours?

Just call the office to arrange.

Can I collect my car after hours?

Car collection can only be done during office hours unless this is prearranged.

Can you drop me home when I deliver my car for servicing or repair?

We can usually drop you back to your residence or accommodation if its in town.

What happens if something is not right after my car service?

All you have to do is give us a call and we will either ask you to return the vehicle to us or, if you have moved on with your holidays, we can direct you to another RAS to inspect and keep you moving.

Can my car be serviced at the same time it is being repaired?

Yes, Exmouth Service Centre and Towing can complete a service when your car is being repaired, depending on the type of repairs.

How do I book my car in for a service?

You can call the office or email us via our Contact Us Page.

How often should I really service my car?

recommend every 10,000kms or 12 months

I don't drive much, do I still need a service?

You should still have your vehicle checked every 12 months to ensure it is safe.

Can you fix other things while my car is being serviced?

Exmouth Service Centre and Towing have a full mechanical workshop and can repair most issues on site.

Can you wash my car?

Exmouth Service Centre and Towing offer a complimentary wash for all log book services. Otherwise there is a car wash in town.

Do you use good quality oils and parts?

We use all Penrite oils and Ryco filters in our log book services. All our parts are sourced from reputable local suppliers

Will my brakes be checked?

Yes, we inspect brakes and adjust and top up fluid as needed.
